Gadgets for Dad: Father's Day Gift Trends
Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 20. According to a recent National Retail Federation (NRF) survey, total spending on Father’s Day gifts will reach $9.8 billion in the U.S., up 3.8 percent from $9.4 billion last year. The average consumer will spend $94.32 on a gift for dad, up from $90.89 last year.

AT&T Phasing Out Unlimited Data Plans
Two weeks ago, on June 2, AT&T announced it was discontinuing its unlimited data plans for mobile phone subscribers. The carrier’s new fee structure, which went into effect on June 7 – the same day that Apple unveiled its latest iPhone model – caps the use of e-mail, web browsing, social-network posting and streaming video under two pay plans.
